GRFU announces team for NAWIRA C/ships

THE Guyana Rugby Football Union has announced the selection of the team to participate in the North American West Indies Rugby Association (NAWIRA) Under-19 Caribbean Championship which will be held in the Cayman Islands tomorrow.

The NAWIRA Championships will involve teams from Bahamas, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Guyana, Jamaica, Mexico and Trinidad and Tobago.

The Guyanese ruggers will play their first game on Sunday against Trinidad and Tobago.

The team is expected to depart Guyana today and will be accompanied by head coach Lawrence Adonis, assistant coach Theodore Henry and team manager Curtis Jacobs.

The members of the 22-member team are: Akeem Fraser, Allain Crawford, Carl Lewis, Clinton Mars, Colin Billingy, Gavin Thompson, Gordon Andrews, Jamaal Yarde, Javier Butcher, Lancelot Adonis, Mark Massiah, Matthew Talbot, Quincy Jones, Richard Coates, Rondell McArthur, Rudolph Ogle, Ryan Dojoy, Soren Cox, Terry Adams, Trevor Mathieson and Vallon Adams.
