I saw a letter from Umar Saied asking whether the Judiciary should be seen as upholding the law. I recently asked “why the various established Committees and Commissions are not doing a much better job of overseeing their areas of responsibility, although their members are from both parties?”
I am struck with the call for shared governance, while it appears that very little is done by people outside the PPP/Civic to utilise what may be important opportunities to address the issues they complain about. Until there is a better alternative, let’s use these shared opportunities to do some good and build confidence in a proposed future “shared governance”.
