RESIDENTS of Kabakaburi, the Amerindian community located 65 miles from Charity, South along Pomeroon River, have cultivated 25 acres of mixed crops, in response to the national ‘grow more food’ campaign.
Toshao Lorna Williams said the aim is to provide the villagers with an abundance of fresh food and fruits on a daily basis.
Meanwhile, Mainstay/Whyaka Toshao Yvonne Pearson has announced that the Village Council will embark on rearing livestock, including pigs and poultry on a large scale.
