Two refused bail as virtual complainant still hospitalised

ALWIN Agard, 63 and Malcolm Johnson, 34, have been jointly charged indictably with inflicting grievous bodily harm.

Agard (no address given) and Johnson, of Lot 299 Haslington, East Coast Demerara are alleged to have, on May 25, unlawfully and maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm on Joseph Gomes.

Police Inspector Denise Griffith, prosecuting before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson, successfully objected to bail for the duo, stating that the virtual complainant is still hospitalised.
The two accused were remanded to prison until June 5.
