THE Regional Administration in Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam) will mark the 43rd Independence Anniversary of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana with a cultural programme and flag-raising ceremony on May 25.

A release said the programme, on Anna Regina Community Centre ground, Essequibo Coast, will get underway at 20:00 h and the Golden Arrowhead will be hoisted at midnight by members of the Disciplined Services.

However, prior to the National Flag being raised, several Essequibians will be honoured for their contributions to national development over the years, the release said.

It said Regional Chairman, Mr. Alli Baksh is to address the gathering on the occasion.
