Whispering Mabel

What has become of the once pride of West Demerara – the Leonora Sports Ground – and who is responsible for its complete abandonment, asks Mabel? This is a criminal shame of neglect for a venue that once offered excellent facilities for myriad events of national importance. The existing derelict condition of this valuable real estate and invaluable venue should not be permitted to lay waste, we cannot afford it. Will the authorities please do the necessary things to restore this ground with its proper facilities? If the will is there, funding can be realised.

The public pays for the board measurement, but in fact receives significantly less than the specific 144 cubic feet as what is supplied is not of one-inch thickness.
