POLICE are investigating the Tuesday night death of 30-year-old Paul Anthony Persaud, whose lifeless body was discovered in a drain lying face down opposite his home.

The deceased lived at Lot 44 Charlotte Street, Enterprise, East Coast Demerara, and relatives told the Guyana Chronicle they had just returned home when they noticed his slippers on the road.
On looking closer, they discovered him dead about 23:00h and summoned the Police.
Reports said there were no marks of violence on the corpse of Persaud who, sometimes, worked as a minibus conductor but was also employed at a nearby gasolene station.
He was last seen alive around midday Tuesday when he left home and neighbours were not aware he had died until his relatives raised an alarm at the discovery.
