LIAT anticipates increased passenger loads for Easter

LEEWARD Islands Air Transport (LIAT) disclosed Tuesday that, with Easter approaching, it expects increased passenger loads during the coming days.

Consequently, the carrier advised customers to get to the airport check-in early and adhere to the stipulations, to ensure stress free experience and a flight as enjoyable as possible.

Corporate Communications Manager, Mr. Desmond Brown said, with strict regulations in force at airports in the Caribbean and elsewhere, passengers should allow themselves enough time to go through the security checks.

“It is important that travellers get to the airport early. With more people travelling, it is quite likely that passengers would experience a longer waiting period to get through airport security checkpoints,” he offered.

Brown reminded that passengers should arrive at airports to check in at least two hours prior to their scheduled departure as flights close 45 minutes before the plane departs.

He also said that, in order to make flying as easy as possible, passengers should adhere to the LIAT baggage limits.

For more information, prospective travellers can log on to www.liat.com where they can find details about baggage policy, security tips, terms and conditions of travel and much more,” Brown informed.

He said the management and staff of LIAT wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season. (PRIYA NAUTH)
