LETTER-writer Sean Brignandan is right. We have to seek business outside of CARICOM. If Bruce Golding was bitching about Guyana being an embarrassment to CARICOM, then the President and Assembly should have expressed their outrage. Let’s find alternatives to CARICOM with trade missions to our South American neighbours, Canada, Asia, Africa and Middle East. We must not depend on CARICOM for trade and fair treatment. We must deal with them on the basis of mutual benefit and respect or not at all in areas where this is possible. While the President is pro-CARICOM, they are anti-Guyana.
