CLIMATE CHANGE is taking its toll on the world. From December of last year to now the world has been experiencing drastic changes in the weather patterns. What is happening in Guyana is just a part of a global phenomenon.

Over the weekend in South Africa a severe storm killed some 18 persons in the KwaZulu – Natal Province.

An earthquake in Indonesia with a magnitude of 7.6 had struck off the Northern coast of the island of Papua. Hundreds of people had gathered at a football stadium seeking medical aid for minor injuries.

In Guatemala at least 22 people died when a part of a mountain collapsed on a walking trail.

India has also been hard hit by a cold wave which claimed the lives of over 50 persons.
