THE Police Consumers Coop Society Limited yesterday gave away more than $350,000 to customers in the drawing of the Supermarket’s Christmas promotion.

A Linden man, Selwyn Fernandes, copped the grand prize of a scooter worth $250,000, while the second place prize of a combination 14 inch Sharp television and DVD player went to Leslie Lenny. The third place prize of a DVD player went to V Samaroo.

The drawing was held outside the store’s Robb Street, Lacytown, premises here in the city.

Consolation prizes of food hampers went to ten other persons, namely: Shemina Garraway, Kevin Smith, Yvonne Lewis, Juan Gravesande, Patricia Carmichael, Gene Lake, Beverly Innis, Kelvin Johnson, Annette Aabel and Raendi Persaud.

The winners were among those shoppers who spent over $5,000, or those who were credited $10,000 and more at the supermarket.

Store Manager, Mr. Ramnarine Persaud, said the promotion began on November 15 last and is just a small way of showing their appreciation to their shoppers during the season.

He further encouraged the general public to shop at the supermarket, as it is open to all and sundry. (Delana Isles)
