Rapist sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment

A 63-year-old man was on Monday, July 15, 2019, sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment after confessing to Justice Simone Morris- Ramlall, at the High Court, that he raped a 4-year-old girl in 2016.

Gregory Ramkissoon called “Skeage” threw himself at the mercy of the court and admitted that, on January 4, 2016, in the county of Demerara, he engaged in sexual activity with a 4-year-old child.

Ramkissoon was represented by Ravindra Mohabir, while the state was represented by prosecutors Tuanna Hardy and Sarah Martin.

Justice Simone Morris- Ramlall sentenced Ramkissoon to 20 years’ jail with the possibility of parole after serving 15 years.
