MAGISTRATE Hazel Octave-Hamilton yesterday sentenced Orin Jacobs (no address given) to one year imprisonment for unlawful possession of a utensil used for smoking cocaine.
The prisoner pleaded guilty to the offence, which was committed in Brickdam, Georgetown, on March 26.
Police Inspector Joel Ricknauth, prosecuting, said the pipe was found in a pocket of the pants Jacobs was wearing during search of his person.
The convict was also fined $10,000.
