— SOTIC 2026 to bring regional tourism leaders to Georgetown in October

REGISTRATION is now open for the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s (CTO) State of the Tourism Industry Conference (SOTIC) 2026, which will bring tourism leaders from across the Caribbean and beyond to Guyana from October 5–9.
The conference, to be held at the Pegasus Corporate Suites in Georgetown, will be hosted under the theme, “Tourism Futures: Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive.”
According to the CTO, SOTIC 2026 will bring together tourism policymakers, industry professionals and other stakeholders for discussions on the issues and opportunities shaping the future of the Caribbean’s tourism industry.
The programme will feature the official State of the Tourism Industry presentation, along with sessions focusing on data and innovation, investment opportunities and cruise tourism.
The conference will also feature the Caribbean Tourism Research Forum and the Regional Tourism Youth Congress, among other activities.
Interested persons are being encouraged to secure their places and participate in the discussions shaping the future of Caribbean tourism. Registration is available through the official SOTIC 2026 website at : sotic.onecaribbean.org.
Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Susan Rodrigues, previously said Guyana’s selection as host further positions the country as a major player in the development of meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) tourism.
Hosting the regional conference also comes as Guyana continues efforts to expand its tourism product and strengthen its presence within the Caribbean tourism market.
The Caribbean Tourism Organization is the region’s tourism development and advocacy agency, comprising 25 Dutch-, English- and French-speaking country members, along with private-sector allied members.
The organisation seeks to advance sustainable tourism development across the region under its guiding principle, “One Sea, One Voice, One Caribbean.
