A POST-MORTEM examination has determined that 49-year-old businessman, Freeman Fordyce, who was found dead at his Nandy Park, East Bank Demerara home on Thursday, died from heart failure.
The examination was conducted on Friday by Government Pathologist, Dr Nehaul Singh, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
Fordyce was found dead in a bedroom at his Nandy Park, East Bank Demerara residence on Thursday after relatives became concerned when repeated attempts to contact him went unanswered.
He had last been seen alive by a relative on Sunday, August 2.
Police had initially reported that no marks of violence were observed on Fordyce’s body and that “no foul play is suspected at this time.”
Following the post-mortem examination, his body was handed over to relatives for burial.
