BASED on the family request to brush up my working area in the crib, I unearthed some interesting stuff that carried some old work of my own and other artists and recognised that I had put in a file with the intent to explore back then, WAS revisiting once more in the present, sensibly, with relevance to the present and, obviously, with relevance to the important questions on the mindset of the future, knocks at your mental door, that shares similar ideas all relevant then and now, has initiated this issue of Talking Culture. I called Michael Jordan to explore whether this piece was written by him. At first, in describing it, he believed it might be his. I was relieved to have a writer I could affix to the piece. Mike called back after compiling the text and pics I had outlined to him and informed me that the article wasn’t his. We had no phone number for my one-time media tutor, Adam Harris, and proceeded to place the content of March 6, 2017, into the relevance of a continual debate projection. What was in this article was the issue of taking the arts seriously to convey, first, a meeting with Guyana’s creative folk and a projection of interest and exchange based on past and currently prevailing issues affecting the Arts and artists and their OUTLINE OF LIVELIHOOD AND THE IMAGERY OF LIVELIHOOD.

Because the creative fields have rarely engaged artists in discussions, not much evolves from them. Productive engagement places a wide platform of understanding open that embodies a deeper perspective, leaving no shadows of misinterpretation to drown rational reasoning… rather than evolving… into a worthy national engagement.
