POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Gweneth Alexander, 18,  of Arakaka Village, North West District (NWD), whose body was found in a shop at Tenapu, NWD, at about 10:00 hrs on July 23, 2013. The police are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination.
 
In another matter, police reported that at about 14:45 hrs on Tuesday a search was conducted at a dwelling house at Kumu, Central Rupununi, and an unlicensed .38 Taurus revolver and 11 rounds were found.
Following this find, the police took two men into custody, a Guyanese and a Brazilian.
