A GOOD Hope, East Coast Demerara family, was still traumatised yesterday after being robbed at home on Tuesday night. The robbery took place about 20:00 h when two gunmen entered the Lot 8, Phase Two house, assaulted those who were present and took away jewellery and money, the total value of which has not been disclosed.
The husband and wife were with a 13-year-old son who struck one of the robbers in his head, after he assaulted the woman, in the attempt to take off her jewels.
The duo, after ransacking the building, escaped in a white motor car which took them to the scene and waited.
It was reported that the other son was on his way home when he crashed in his car.
