A BRACE off the boot of Alister Lynch ensured Den Amstel maintained their lead in the points table of the West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) STAG Beer Senior League, which continued on Sunday at the Den Amstel ground, West Coast Demerara.Lynch’s double assisted his side to secure a narrow 3-2 win against Eagles.
The game started badly for Den Amstel as Eagles were first to go ahead through an Alonzo Henry sixth-minute conversion, but 13 minutes later, the home side found the equaliser as Lynch found the back of the opposition’s net for the first of his double.
Thirteen minutes before the break, Kevon Ward sent Den Amstel into the lead, but one minute before lemon-time, Eagles were able to level the score as Henry tucked in another goal (44th minute).
