GCA cricket action …
… Lifetime Under-15 continues on Sunday
THE semi-finals and final of the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA)/Busta-sponsored Twenty20 second division competition will bowl off on Saturday from 08:00 h, with the final which will be supported by a T/10 encounter, being played under the lights at the Demerara Cricket Club ground.
In the first semi-final, Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) will take on Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC), with Robin Kendall and Shannon Crawford officiating, while Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC) and Everest Cricket Club will do battle in the second semifinal, under the guidance of umpires Matthew Kissoon and Joseph Jeffrey.
The winners of the semifinals will meet in the final, but not before a GCA All Stars XI take on a GCA Rest Team in a 10/10 affair, with Kendall and Crawford being the men in charge, while Nigel Duguid and Andrew Allen will officiate in the final.
Meanwhile, the GCA/Lifetime Real Estate Under-15 competition will continue the following day, with Transport Sports Club and Third Class meeting at GNIC with umpires Mario Nichols and Linden Matthews in charge and MSC and Gandhi Youth Organisation (GYO) clashing at GYO – Reginald Grant and Clyde Layne performing umpiring duties.
