VICE-PRESIDENT Bharrat Jagdeo met with Indigenous leaders from several communities across Region One (Barima-Waini) at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
The meeting followed the leaders’ early departure from the National Toshaos Council Conference, held in July, and provided an opportunity for them to discuss matters affecting their respective communities directly with the Vice-president and other Cabinet ministers, particularly issues related to development and community priorities.
