A HIGH-LEVEL delegation of United States industry executives has concluded a three-day visit to Guyana, holding strategic discussions with government officials aimed at advancing investment opportunities and strengthening economic partnerships between the two countries.
The delegation, led by former United States Ambassador to Guyana, Sarah-Ann Lynch and Patrick Sweeney of American Kestrel Global Strategies Group, met with Chief Investment Officer and Member of Parliament, Peter Ramsaroop, to discuss pathways for expanding private sector investment in Guyana’s rapidly growing economy.
The visiting team comprised executives from a range of industries, including artificial intelligence, infrastructure, logistics, housing, finance, transportation and advanced technology. Discussions focused on Guyana’s ongoing economic transformation, major national development priorities, and the country’s emergence as a regional centre for innovation and sustainable growth.
During the engagement, Ramsaroop reaffirmed the Government of Guyana’s commitment to maintaining a competitive, transparent and innovation-driven investment climate. He also outlined the processes and opportunities available to international investors seeking to establish operations or expand business interests in the country.
According to the Office for Investment, the discussions formed part of ongoing efforts to attract strategic foreign direct investment and build partnerships that support Guyana’s long-term development agenda.
Ramsaroop also showcased a variety of locally produced goods and Guyanese flavours to the visiting executives, highlighting the growth of the country’s agro-processing and manufacturing sectors and the opportunities available within those industries.
He noted that Guyana continues to generate strong international interest as a destination for investment and business expansion, driven by the development vision of President Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali and the country’s sustained economic growth.
The visit concluded with both sides expressing interest in deepening engagement and exploring opportunities for future collaboration across several key sectors.
