CHIEF of Defence Staff, Brigadier Omar Khan, recently welcomed U.S. Department of State Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security, Ambassador Bonnie Jenkins, to Defence Headquarters at Base Camp Ayanganna.
Brigadier Khan and Ambassador Jenkins engaged in comprehensive discussions focused on several key areas of mutual interest.
The topics covered included ongoing security assistance, regional security concerns, and collaborative efforts to enhance regional stability. Special emphasis was placed on Women’s Protection and Security and Maritime Security, highlighting both nations’ commitment to these critical areas.
This visit marks a significant step in reinforcing the deepening partnership between Guyana and the United States.
