Big wins for Ann’s Grove, Cummings Lodge

THERE were big wins for Cummings Lodge Secondary and Anns Grove as the ExxonMobil Boys and Girls U-14 Football tournament continued at the weekend.

The Girls Division saw Tucville defeating West Ruimveldt 3 – 0, Charlestown trouncing New Central High 3 – 0, while Tucville and New Central High battled to a draw in another showdown.
Tucville’s ladies recorded a stalemate in the first match of the day but returned with a strong showing led by Shania Waldron, who scored in the 10th and 40th minutes, to secure a victory. Allegra Williams accounted for the victor’s other goal.

In the other female match, Charlestown had a goal each from Rondella Anderson (9’), Chelysi Lupe (17’) and Hadassah Smith (37’) as they cruised to victory over New Central High.
The Boys division had contrasting wins around every turn, however, Ann’s Grove’s 8 — 0 triumph over Tucville was the largest victory margin of the day. They were led by a hat-trick from Shaquan David (4’, 6’, 12’) while doubles from Isaiah Pellew (15’, 18’) and Selwyn Fraser (35’, 40’) and a single strike from

Devon Chance (30th) was more than enough to push them over the line.
Cummings Lodge fired six past New Campbellville, who answered only once. The 6 – 1 result was attributed to Rovin Henry (3’), Dequan Thom (10’), Nickolas Watts (20’, 38’), Malachi Anderson (16’) and Keshawn Daniels (30’).

North Ruimveldt eased past Plaisance Bosco’s Orphanage 3 – 2 as Emanuel Lewis (5’) and Mickel Mills (14’, 36) were the goal scorers for the victorious side while Joshua Harris (38’) and Cleontae Williams (40’) accounted for the opposition’s goals.

New Central High were able to secured a 2 – 1 win over Freeburg. Trevor Gordon (5’) and Kaden White (7’) scored early for New Central High while Jaden Welcome (37) was able to pull one back for Freeburg.

Lodge wiped the deck with Westminster 4 – 0 with a goal each coming from Emmanuel Tinch (6’), Samuel Tinch (35’), Melchizede Holder (38’) and Emmanuel Lesperance (40’).
Charlestown got the full points against St. Winefride’s following a 2 – 0 result. The goal scorers in that match were Nicholas Nieuelder (30) and Malcom Hendricks (41).

Dolphin needled East Ruimveldt compliments of the decider which finally came in the 36th minute whenTyshawn James found the back of the net.
In the only tied Boys encounter, Charlestown and Tucville ended with two goals apiece. Charlestown’s scorers were Malcom Hendricks (22’) and Adion Marks (25’) while Eric Griffith (21’) and Kevin Jordon (30’) scored for Tucville.
