TWO months after 25-year-old Paishnarine ‘Richie’ Hansraj and 34-year-old Justin Teixeira were found dead in a car in the Marriott Hotel parking lot, the Guyana Police Force (GPF), on Wednesday, confirmed that a toxicology investigation found that the two men died from cyanide poisoning.
The tests were conducted at NMS Labs in Texas, United States, and revealed that both men had a significant concentration of cyanide in their stomachs.
The lifeless bodies of the men were found in the wee hours of April 23, 2022, in the front seat of Teixeira’s car by an employee of the hotel.
Investigators had discovered a bottle with a substance that was later confirmed to be sodium cyanide in the backseat of the car.
Teixeira was said to be a flight attendant, while Hansraj was a religious singer and music producer.
The two men were, reportedly, very close friends.
