Belle Vue claimed a nine-run victory over West Bank Masters

BELLE Vue Sports Club registered a nine-run victory against West Bank Masters in a thrilling Trophy Stall-sponsored 20-over clash at the Canal Number Two Sports Club ground over the weekend.

Belle Vue won the toss and opted to bat first. Although there were no stand-out performances, a number of batters had starts.

Ryan Seecharran led the way with 32 (2×4, 2×6), while Randy Ramrup (1×4, 3×6) and Devon Harris (2×4, 2×6) both added 29 runs.

Towards the end, Rajendra Persaud with 22 unbeaten runs (3×4) also played his part to help the team reach a competitive 174-9.

Chabiraj Ramcharan led West Bank Masters’ bowling attack with four wickets, while Ganesh Persaud supported with two scalps.

In West Bank Masters’ turn in the middle, Ramcharan also played his role with the bat. He finished with 33 runs (3×4, 2×6). Krishna Singh led the attack with a game-high 36 (4×4).

Support also came from Michael Sundar, who supported with 28 (1×4, 3×6), but it was not enough as the team fell short at 165-9 from their allotted overs.

Bowling for Belle Vue, Ramrup finished with 2-19 from his four overs, while Colin Boucher supported with 2-43 from his four overs.
