GUYANA’s lady Jags have maintained their unbeaten record in the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers after they defeated hosts Turks and Caicos on Saturday last in more Group F action.
Mariam El-Masri netted a hat-trick, scoring in the 48th, 61st and 84th minutes while there were two braces from Cameo Hazlewood, who opened the scoring in the 10th minute then the 40th, while Hannah Baptiste struck twice as well, in the 30th and 72nd minutes.
It brings the second clean sheet in as many matches for the Lady Jags as they defeated Dominica at the National Track and Field Facility, Leonora, West Coast Demerara, in their opening match.
Guyana’s next game is against Nicaragua on April 8, and should they win, it potentially set up a winners take it all clash against Trinidad and Tobago, as only the top side from the group makes it to the next round.
