THREE overseas-based Guyanese recently launched an online business directory and marketplace under the name Snap.gy aimed at creating favourable opportunities for bbusinesses in Guyana and the Caribbean.
The online platform was launched at an opportune time when social distancing is mandatory and many persons are now relying on social media for information and even shopping.
The fast-growing online business directory was introduced in Guyana in April 2020 by three overseas-based Guyanese Suruj “Serge” Seecharran, Suraj Ted Nazir and Seebarrat Ramesh Pooran.
Seecharran, the Chief Executive Officer, said that the platform was designed to meet the needs of all Guyanese businesses (small to large) and provides a free, simple and safe website for non-profit organisations and government services.
Snap.gy creates a marketplace that connects the Guyanese community locally and regionally; persons can utilize the service by just signing in from their Google or Facebook account.
Nazir, the Managing Director, said that Guyanese will be able to increase brand visibility, increase their website traffic and build a business to consumer (B2C) relationship while providing an opportunity for companies to advertise.
“The registration process is simple and free and only has three steps which include visiting the site, signing in with your Facebook or Google account and following the instructions to add your business,” Nazir said.
The owners are hoping that they can get support from all businesses, NGOs, and government agencies.
