… caters to athletes, non-athletes alike
ANSA McAL broke some new ground yesterday with the official launch of its Heineken 0.0, a non-alcoholic lager, brewed with the aim of allowing persons to consume the beverage anytime of the day at any location.
During yesterday’s launch at the company’s Beterverwagting head office, Kenisha Wills, Heineken Brand coordinator, broke down the intricacies of how the product came about and what spectrum of audience it’s set to target.
It is operating under the slogan ‘Now You Can’, due to the beer’s alcoholic content being removed during brewing to create a product which tastes like a beer but without the alcoholic properties and effects.
Bottled at 330ml, a few millilitres more than the average bottle, Wills added that the beer will target the sports area locally, as athletes can now consume the beverage without any fear of hindrance to their game.
More so, the beer is set to be brewed to a much healthier point, making for a low calorie drink for consumers across the board.
While ANSA McAl is a major sponsor of sports around the world, backing events like Formula 1 and Premier League soccer, locally the company has also been one of Guyana’s biggest contributors to sports development.
In acknowledging the company’s role in the development of sports like soccer, golf among others, Wills noted that this new beverage will further be introduced into the arena of sports where it will likely become a favourite within the fraternity.
Meanwhile, both Wills and Mr Mark Nelson ANSA’s Divisional Head for Beverages, lauded the product for its unique characteristics and its possible upward movement, given it’s official launch which will further play a huge role in the realm of sports.
