Ten extremely vibrant contestants are gearing up compete in what is expected to be an exciting final leg of the Guyana Talent Search Competition which is slated for this Sunday, July 18, 2021.
Among those preparing to unleash their ‘A’ game is 11-year-old Kaysheena Bindiya Singh, an aspiring dancer from Region Two, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Although one of the youngest in the competition, the young lady is no stranger to the stage. As a matter of fact, it was only the pandemic that managed to keep her away from fulfilling her passion of not just dancing, but dancing for an audience.
“I have taken part in a lot of competitions but because of the pandemic, I am home and there is no school, so I didn’t really have nothing much to do otherwise than school work,” the young lady told The Buzz.
Luckily, an advertisement about the competition grabbed her attention and rekindled her joys of performing. “I saw it a day and I told my mom I want to take part,” Singh said.
The dance enthusiast has done a fantastic job throughout the competition, and far more than being a little nervous, she is excited to go head-to-head with her competitors. Unsure about what the future holds, the Essequibian has her sights set on becoming a dance teacher, and fulfilling the many dreams that she managed to weave, having been inspired by her older sister, as well as the dance teachers who taught her techniques and style. Singh told us that she has been dancing for many years now, but over the past two years, her competitive dancing has intensified.
