FOLLOWING the ceremonial launch of the newest softball tournament, corporate entities began aligning themselves with the prestigious President’s T20 Softball tournament.
The three-day tournament, which is organised jointly by the Honorary Consul of Guyana to Florida, Ramzan Roshanali and the Georgetown Softball Cricket League Incorporated (GSCL), was launched on Sunday February 7, at the Everest Cricket Club banquet hall with Guyana’s President His Excellency Irfaan Ali delivering the feature address and officially committing to the mega tournament.

Also joining the tournament but from the corporate side are gold and diamond dealing giants Dinar Trading of Lamaha Street Alberttown, Mohamed’s Enterprise of Lombard Street, Georgetown and popular Realty Broker, Satishwar Persaud of Canada.
Both the Dinar Trading and Mohamed’s Enterprise handed over their valuable sponsorship to Secretary of GSCL, Telesha Ousman. In response, Ousman restated the tournament’s commitment to their brands and to the sport of softball cricket.
Persaud, under his business name Adana Homes, said that he was pleased to be part of this tournament and wished for a long and fruitful relationship with the Club. He added that he was very happy to be given the opportunity to be part of this event and answered the call without hesitation.
According to the GSCL, the growing list of corporate partners includes Regal Stationery and Computer Supplies, Banks Beer, Crown Mining Supplies, Regal Sport, popular You-tuber Danny Persaud with It’s our life ARD, Elegance Jewellery, Roraima Airways, Barama and Star Party Rentals.
The inaugural President’s T20 Softball tournament will be played under the auspices of the GSCL in three categories; Open (all ages), Masters (over 40 years old) and Legends (over 50 years old) from March 5 to 7 at venues in and around Georgetown.
