–to face manslaughter charges in sleep-over- turned-deadly saga
A 16-year-old boy is expected to be arraigned before a city magistrate today for the alleged manslaughter of his 15-year-old ‘bestie’, Rockey Sawh.
The suspect, who is currently on $100,000 station bail, is scheduled to appear before the Children’s Court of the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
According to reports, on November 18, 2020, Sawh was found lying in a pool of blood at the suspect’s Sandy Babb Street, Kitty home during the course of a ‘sleep-over’.
It is alleged that the 16-year-old suspect had breached the lock of the wardrobe in which the licenced .32 Taurus pistol his father owned was kept.
The teen was reportedly showing the weapon to Sawh when he accidentally pulled the trigger.
Sawh, who was reportedly hit in the head by the lone bullet, immediately fell to the ground. He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corpor, where he later died.
