AN 18-year-old welder, was, on Tuesday, released on $50,000 bail by Magistrate Alicia George after pleading not guilty to a robbery charge. Seon Benjamin called “Black & Shine” of ‘D’ Field Sophia, during his appearance at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court, denied that, on December 17, 2020 at ‘B’ Field Sophia, he robbed Fitzroy Cummings of cash and articles valued at $815, 000 with the use of personal violence. Magistrate George released Benjamin on $50,000 bail with the condition that he reports to the Turkeyen Police Station at the end of every month until the completion of the matter. She also ordered him not to be seen on the road between 18:00 hrs and 06:00hrs. The case was adjourned until March 9. Benjamin is currently before the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court for an alleged armed robbery he committed on a Merriman’s Mall businesswoman. He is currently out on $150,000 bail for that offence.
