RESIDENTS within the Corriverton and Skeldon, Berbice areas, can now benefit from the high-speed Blaze Internet service offered by the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT).
“We made a promise earlier this year that we would rollout Blaze in several areas. Though we had a setback with the delivery dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have still been able to commit to our promise, and we have delivered the Blaze service to Grove, Diamond, Parika and now Skeldon and Corriverton areas,” GTT’s Product Lead of Fixed Broadband Services, Jamal Inniss said in a release.

With more than 1,000 households now set to benefit from the service, Inniss shared that the Blaze expansion has been welcomed by the community.
“We appreciate the responses we have been getting already, and we are pleased to provide these communities with high-speed Internet; it’s a speed that’s now demanded of us, as we all adjust more and more to an increased reliance on faster connectivity,” Inniss stated.

Aatif Mohamed was among the first customers to benefit from Blaze installations in Berbice. As a family man and businessman, Mohamed is hopeful that both his personal and business Online experience with this new broadband service in the area will be satisfactory.

“I’ve read different reviews about this service in other areas; I am satisfied enough that GTT will provide the quality of service which they’ve promised,” said Mohamed.
Residents of both Corriverton and Skeldon are encouraged to sign up for the service via https://www.gtt.co.gy/blaze/apply. Installations for Skeldon are scheduled to commence in the new week.
