A 40-year-old Delph Street Campbellville, Georgetown man lost his life on Sunday after he lost control of his motorcycle, #CG 3100, on the Diamond Public Road, East Bank Demerara, in the vicinity of DDL.
Police Headquarters, in a statement, noted that Marlon Fiedtkou was proceeding north along the western carriage way of the road at a fast rate of speed when he lost control and fell. The accident occured around 17:45hrs.
Fiedtkou received injuries about the body; he was picked up in a conscious condition by the police ranks and escorted to the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital where he was examined and later transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
The Police said that Fiedtkou was admitted a patient in the Accident and Emergency Unit Critical Bay where he was being treated for a punctured lung and lacerations about his body. He later succumbed to his injuries while receiving attention.
The body is at the Georgetown Public Hospital Mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.
The Guyana Chronicle understands that Fiedtkou was a member of the Sonic Hunters Motorcycle Club.
