POLICE have issued a wanted bulletin for a Cuban in connection with the 2019 murder of 67-year-old pensioner, Marva Oudkerk, whose lifeless body was found at Bourda Street, Georgetown.

Wanted is Lopez Perez Jair, a 31-year-old of Lot 106 Plantation Versailles, West Bank Demerara and Miguel Del Pedron, Havana, Cuba.

The Guyana Chronicle had reported that Oudkerk, 67, a pensioner who was the caretaker of a home at Lot 241 Bourda Street, Georgetown was killed sometime between 16:30hrs on October 9 and 18:30hrs on October 10, 2019 with a mosquito netting tied around her neck.

The woman’s daughter told this newspaper that her mother was the caretaker of the home which belonged to the late Magda Pollard, the Guyanese stalwart who passed away in May this year. The intruder/s carted off items from the home including the woman’s cash.
An autopsy was performed by Government Pathologist, Dr. Nehaul Singh, who gave her cause of death as strangulation and blunt trauma to the head.
