ON Thursday, February 27, 2020, nineteen-year-old, Dwight Lewis, was placed on $50,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan, at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
Lewis, a miner of Mahdia, was remanded to prison by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan last Wednesday February 19, 2020, on a robbery charge.

The charge alleged that, on February 15, 2020, at 111 Miles Mahdia, Lewis, while in the company of others, robbed Aaron Augustus of $80,000 cash, and, immediately before, or after, used personal violence towards the said Augustus.

When he made his second court appearance on Thursday morning, Chief Ann McLennan placed the defendant on $50,000 bail, under the condition that he reports every Friday to the Mahdia Police Station until the matter is completed.

This case was adjourned until April 14, 2020 and was transferred to the Mahdia Magistrates’ Court.
