Dear Editor,
The Democratic National Congress would like to encourage all Guyanese who have not registered because Jagdeo is telling you not to do so, to ignore Jagdeo and get yourself registered.
While there is every reason for elections to be held sooner than later, we are all by now convinced that the coalition is intent on proceeding with house to house registration. It is however important for voters to comply with registration until our courts rule otherwise.
Please note that you cannot be denied registration. Also, if the courts rule in favour of house-to-house registration, you will have barred yourself from voting by failing to register.
We are satisfied that it is Mr. Jagdeo’s intention to hurry through with elections because he is worried that with all his secret relations and shenanigans of corruption, contracting drug runners and his government’s cover-up of Satyadeo Sawh’s murder, and everything else that is coming out of his closet, his chances of winning the elections are slipping away.
The DNC of the opinion that with Jagdeo’s record of his government’s alleged involvement in corruption, money-laundering, narcotics, extra-judicial killings, Mr. Jagdeo should be considered an Enemy of the State, and barred from public office in Guyana.
We urge other concerned citizens to examine available evidence in the public domain and press to have Jagdeo and his other acolytes involved in contracting individuals involved in drug-running barred from public office. We also urge the media to examine their responsibility to the people of Guyana and cease the publication of any information by Jagdeo. Jagdeo is a Clear And Present Danger To Guyana, and Guyanese. Finally, we urge the incumbent administration to request the courts to move ahead with any and all matters pertaining to malfeasance in public office, and the address and recovery of any and all assets misappropriated by Jagdeo, Irfaan Ali & company.
Regards
Craig Sylvester,
Party Leader,
