TWO men were taken into police custody on Saturday after they were found with over 90 grams of cannabis stashed in a rice bag in the kitchen area of a shop at Buck Hall, Essequibo River.
Reports indicate that the men, aged 23 and 25, of Buck Hall, and North Ruimveldt, Georgetown respectively, were in a shop when police observed them operating suspiciously and decided to search the shop.
After the search was done, the police found almost 80 small Ziploc bags
of cannabis in a rice bag in the kitchen area.
One of the men confessed to owning the cannabis while the other was taken into custody, pending investigations.
The men were escorted to the Sans Souci Police Station pending charges.
