/BCB 100-ball second-division competition
ALBION Community Centre Cricket Club whipped the Fyrish Cricket Club by 59 runs on Saturday to book a place in the final of the Rafeek Construction, Berbice Cricket Board (BCB), 100-ball second-division cricket competition.
In the semi-final clash at the Fyrish Ground, the visitors won the toss and opted to take first strike on a two pace track. From their 100 balls they raced to an imposing 160-8.
Adrian Sukhwa led the attack with 49, while Ramesh Kasinauth supported with an unbeaten 33.
Y. Chinapen and R. Ramcharran finished with 2-23 and 2-31 respectively for the home team, who struggled in the middle. In the end, they only mustered 101 before they were bowled out in 15.2 overs. Chandradat Roopnarine led the attack with 28, while Munilall Shivdyal supported with 24.
Bowling for Albion, Beesham Surujnarine and Devendra Latchman finished with three wickets each. Surujnarine grabbed 3-14 and Latchman 3-26. Sharaz Ramcharan supported with 2-14.
