SHANNON Singh, of Grove Squatting Area, East Bank Demerara, appeared before Principal Magistrate Sunil Scarce at the Providence Magistrate’s Court on Monday, April 8, 2019, charged with dangerous driving.
Singh initially pleaded not guilty, but subsequently changed his plea to guilty.
According to the particulars of the offence, Singh, on January 30, 2019, at Pearl, East Bank Demerara, drove his motor vehicle in a manner considered dangerous to the public.
Counsel for Singh, based on his perceived weakness in the prosecution’s case, made a no-case submission. This was however overruled by the court and Singh was called upon to lead his defence.
He was remanded to prison until May 7th 2019.
