PRELIMINARY inquiries into the February 4, 2018 murder of City ‘money-changer’, Shawn Nurse, called ‘Fabulous’, continued on Friday at the Providence Magistrate Court before Magistrate Judy Latchman.

Kerwin Dos Santos and George Hope, both 24, and of Freeman Street, East La Penitence, and Kacey Heyliger, 25, of Shell Road Kitty, were initially charged separately for the murder, but those charges were subsequently withdrawn, and a joint charge was instead instituted.

The trio was not required to plead to the indictable charge, which stated that on February 4, 2018, they shot and killed Nurse, 47, during the commission of a robbery while he was plying his trade as per normal, on downtown America Street.
The matter has been adjourned to next Friday.
