TWENTY-FIVE-YEAR-OLD Romella Clarke of Timehri, East Bank Demerara, appeared before Magistrate Sunil Scarce on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at the Providence Magistrate’s Court on a charge of unlawful assault.
Clarke pleaded not guilty to the offence.

It is alleged that on March 15, 2019, Clarke unlawfully assaulted Shawina Goodridge at Timehri, East Bank Demerara.

Meanwhile, Shawina Goodridge has been charged with assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm to Romella Clarke at Timehri, East Bank Demerara, on March 15, 2019. She too pleaded not guilty.

Both Romella and Shawina were placed on self-bail and will return to court on May 14, 2019, to answer their respective charges.
