BCB/Spready’s Snackette 100 balls tournament

Several teams go through to second round

THE Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) commenced Spready’s Snackette 100 balls tournament for teams in the Lower Corentyne area last weekend.
At the conclusion of round one, Chesney, Rose Hall Tigers, Whim National, Courtland and Fyrish recorded victories and will advance to the second round.

Chesney CC defeated Tamarind Root CC by two wickets. Tamarind Root CC made 130-6 with P. Deonarine top-scoring with 65. V. Mangal supported with 23 while S. Bacchus claimed 3-16 and A. Deonarine 2-28. Chesney CC, in reply, reached 131-8. Imran Khan made 26, Krishna Amoi 18, S. Subahur 28; D. Ramsammy 3-33, R. Deonarine 3-21.
Rose Hall Town Tigers CC bettered Albion Open CC by 18 runs. Rose Hall Town Tigers 129-2. Delbert Hicks 65 not out, Brandon Prashad 20.

Albion Open CC 111 all out. Andy Naidu 50, S. Dhanai 16. Delbert Hicks 2-22, Rondell Lewis 2-25, Naresh Mahadeo 2-21, M. Goberdhan 2-15.
