PRESIDENT of the Guyana Boxing Association (GBA), Steve Ninvalle, recently made a personal donation of gear to the Sophia Warriors Boxing gym.

Ninvalle said that he had promised the gear after Coach Winston Pompey approached him several months ago. Pompey had said that the GBA president was his last resort after being “pushed around” by others.

The coach thanked Ninvalle and assured that the gear, which included gloves, head-gear and groin protector, would be used for the development of the sport in Sophia.
