THE Kayo’s Academy and ‘Tallo’ Hutson 2018 Youth Challenge Under-13 and U-16 Youth Challenge Football Fiesta will take place today from 10:00hrs at the Mackenzie Sports Club ground.

All six participating clubs must assemble for 09:30hrs and those failing to be on time will be disqualified.
The clubs expected to contest are the defending champions in both categories Milerock FC, while Eagles United, Rickland Hutson’s Youths and Amelia’s Ward United among others will be contesting the two categories today.

Seven field players and a goalkeeper will be allowed on the field at any given time in the Under-16 competition, but only seven outfield players will be allowed on the field in the Under-13 competition.
In the Under-13 category, clubs will have a maximum of 12 players registered while in the Under-16, a maximum 13 players.

The U-16 players will contest for 40 minutes, 20 minutes each half while the U-13 players will have a 30-minute competition – two segments of 15 minutes.

This tournament will be the continuation towards the development of youth football by two former national players now based in the United States of America, Kayode McKinnon and Rickland ‘Tallo’ Hutson, who represented Guyana at both the youth and senior levels and began their careers in Linden.

Hutson represented Christianburg’s Eagles United FC, while McKinnon played for the Topp XX FC and they have continued to give back to the sport locally.
