PRIME Minister Moses Nagamootoo continues his visit to Pondicherry, India and on Friday he was hosted by Governor of Pondicherry Kiran Bedi and was received by Indian Junior Finance Minister Pon Radhakrishnan and a large delegation from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

He also toured the All-State Exhibition of Indian Crafts and Food.

Nagamootoo departed Guyana for Pondicherry in South India earlier last Wednesday to inaugurate the World Tamil Economic Conference.

He is accompanied by spouse Sita Nagamootoo. Nagamootoo, himself of Tamil ancestry, joined other world business leaders at the October 12-15 conference and made a pitch for investments in Guyana.

Meanwhile, later this month, a team of investors from Gem Granite Group of Companies in Chennai, is expected in Guyana. Gem’s Chief Executive Officer Veeramani visited Guyana last year and showed interest in investing in granite and forestry products.
