TWO brothers appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on Friday, after being slapped with a series of charges.

Hernando Razak, 18, was charged for resisting arrest and assault on October 8, 2018 at Albouystown, while Police Lance Corporal Desmond Nicholson was executing his duties.
The teen pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on $7,000 bail.

His older brother, Ronaldo, was also released on $7,000 bail after pleading not guilty to assaulting Lance Corporal Nicholas to prevent him from arresting his brother on the same day, and making use of threating behaviour and obstructiion.

The two teens were represented by attorney-at-law Latchmi Rahamat, who told the court that contrary to the charges, it is her clients who are being attacked and harassed by the police.
