THE Guyana Police Force (GPF) on Thursday issued a warrant for the arrest of Stanley Paul, who is wanted in relation to the unlawful distribution of fuel marker committed on the Guyana Energy Authority in April, 2018.
Anyone with information that may lead to his arrest can contact the police on telephone numbers: 226-2870, 229-2655, 229-2289, 227-1149, 226-7065, 911 or any police station.
All information will be treated with the strictest confidence.
The fuel marker is valued in excess of $1.5M. It is a special chemical used by GEA staffers to tag fuel entering Guyana and for which taxes have been paid. The GEA has been fighting corruption with some staffers accused of selling the marker.
In one case, the container where the marker was stored was broken into and a quantity stolen.
In April, 2018, a man was detained after being found in possession of the fuel marker and had reportedly implicated at least three staffers from the GEA of supplying him with the instrument.
