A search was conducted on Cross and the drug was found in a haversack he had in his possession. When questioned by the police, Cross told ranks that Farook gave him the drug to keep. The ranks then questioned Farook, who admitted to the offence.

Prosecutor Mansfield told the court that both defendants gave caution statements admitting to their involvement in the drug trafficking charge.
